Sure, it might sound cliché, but how can you care for others if you’re running on empty? I’ve done this experiment with my CBT therapist when I just felt like I can never relax. She urged me to drop the house chores for a week and do whatever I wanted, during baby’s nap time. Results were astonishing! I managed watch some Netflix and do my chores afterwards anyway! It just didn’t feel so daunting anymore once I had my reward first. Remember, nourishing your own well-being is a key ingredient for family harmony.
