Let me introduce myself, and tell me more about why (as a mom) I decided to embark on a solo journey through the world.
Hi, I’m Paulina, a mother of two, and I’m here to help you rediscover the woman you were before the responsibilities of motherhood took center stage.
Being a mother is a life-changing experience. The love, the joy, the deep connection you have with your children—it’s all incredible. But for me, it was also a period of profound struggle. I was caught in a cycle of self-doubt, guilt, and emotional exhaustion. I had two beautiful children, a loving family, and everything I had ever dreamed of… so why, despite all of this, was I feeling lost and overwhelmed?
Like many mothers, I poured everything into my kids, my home, my family. But no matter how much I gave, I couldn’t seem to shake this feeling of emptiness. I began battling depression, feeling stuck in a world that was entirely centred around others.
I kept asking myself: Why can’t I change how I feel?
I loved my children, and I loved being a mum, but I couldn’t ignore the fact that I felt disconnected from myself. I wasn’t the woman I used to be. I no longer recognised the girl with big dreams and a desire for adventure. Instead, I was trapped in a daily routine that left no space for me to breathe or be the person I once was.
It asked myself a question – Where would I be right now if I decided to not have a family? My mind wandered into a picture of me, alone trekking with backpack. No wonder! That’s who I used to be before the beautiful chaos! Why can’t I have both of these things? I decided to take a step—just one step—away from my responsibilities and immerse myself in something just for me. It wasn’t easy at first. I felt guilty, anxious, and unsure. But I also knew that if I didn’t make a change, I would continue to spiral.
That first solo trip was a revelation. I was able to step away from my roles as a mother and reconnect with myself in ways I hadn’t even realised I needed. For the first time in a long time, I felt freedom, joy, and clarity. Solo travel gave me the space to reflect, to breathe, and to listen to the quiet voice inside me that had been silenced for far too long.
It wasn’t just a vacation—it was a transformation. I began to understand that it was okay to take time for myself. In fact, it was necessary.
I realised that solo travel wasn’t just about seeing new places—it was about seeing myself again. It gave me the opportunity to:
And that’s what I want for you. If you feel like you’ve lost touch with who you are beyond being a mother, solo travel can be your path to reinvention.
You deserve the opportunity to rediscover your passions, your energy, and your sense of freedom. Your own journey can be as small as a weekend getaway or as grand as an international adventure—what matters is that it’s your time and you can craft it the way you like it.
Through my own journey, I’ve learned that it’s not about the destination—it’s about who you become along the way. I’m here to help you take that first step. Whether you need guidance on planning your trip, advice on overcoming travel anxiety, or inspiration to take the leap, I’ve got you covered.
If you’re feeling stuck or unsure, know this: You are worth the time, the space, and the investment. It’s time to put yourself first, to give yourself permission to explore, to dream, and to find joy again. Traveling solo isn’t a luxury—it’s an essential act of self-care.
You deserve to return to your life with renewed purpose, energy, and joy. Imagine stepping off that plane or out of that car, feeling like you’ve truly found yourself again. You are more than a mother. You are an individual with dreams, passions, and a life of your own to live.
Let’s begin this journey together. The world is waiting for you, and so is the incredible woman you’ve yet to fully rediscover.
